Returns, Warranty and Short Shipments

Last updated 27 October 2026

Returns and exchanges

Returns and exchanges on in-stock items are accepted within 30 days of purchase, provided the items are in their original condition. Every return needs a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and a copy of the original invoice. Customers are responsible for the shipping costs of a return.

Some items cannot be returned: pumps, special orders, pipe, cut-length items, and any non-stocking special-order item. No returns are accepted after 90 days, and returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 25%.

All returns are subject to approval by the branch manager, who may decline a return. If you are considering a return, please speak with a manager to make sure it meets this policy.

How to ask for a return

Sign in, open the order or invoice the items are on, and choose Request a return. Enter how many of each item are coming back and why, add a note if it helps, and send. This is your request for an RMA, and it is linked to the original order or invoice for you. You can follow every request under My Account, Refunds and returns, and we email you at each step. You can also ask at your branch.

What happens next

Your branch reviews the request and approves it as a return for credit, a credit without a return, or a refund, or explains why it cannot be accepted. Nothing is charged or refunded until the branch has decided.

Refunds

Approved returns are credited to your account, or refunded to the card that paid, once the branch has received and processed them, less any restocking fee.

Warranty

Defective items within their warranty period may be returned to ProSource with a copy of the original invoice. The customer is responsible for any freight costs of returning warranty items. Products will be replaced or repaired at ProSource’s discretion.

Short shipments

Please let us know of any short shipment within 48 hours of receiving the goods, with a copy of the carrier’s waybill and your count.
