OverviewThe Boshart 6″ locking cast iron well cap seals the top of a 6″ well casing against surface water, vermin, and debris entry while providing a controlled vent path screened to exclude insects and rodents. The locking design requires a tool or key to open, meeting sanitary well requirements in most jurisdictions. Cast iron construction provides durability against UV, frost heave, and equipment impacts typical in agricultural and commercial well settings.Cast iron with corrosion-resistant coating. Accepts standard 6″ steel or Schedule 40 PVC casing. Includes a stainless steel locking bolt. Screened vent allows pressure equalization inside the casing without admitting surface contamination. Inspect vent screen annually; clean or replace if plugged. Seal cable and pipe penetrations through the cap with approved grommets or foam backer.
