Installing

Cement the sweep ell tailpiece into your pipe or fitting, aligned for the direction you want, then tighten the union nut to close the joint.

Servicing

Because the nut unthreads, the pump can come out for service while the plumbing stays put. Check the joint is clean and snug each time you close it up after service work.
