Overview Canpex UV Plus is a crosslinked polyethylene (PEX-B) pipe produced to SDR-9 copper tube size (CTS) dimensions, rated 160 PSI at 73°F. The 3/4" size carries an OD of 0.875" and a wall thickness of 0.097", providing consistent flow capacity compatible with standard PEX crimp and clamp fittings. Typical applications include potable water service lines, residential and light-commercial distribution, irrigation mainlines in frost-sensitive regions where freeze-thaw flexibility is required, and hydronic heating circuits where a flexible thermoplastic alternative to copper or CPVC is preferred. The UV-stabilized purple stripe conforms to CSA and local authority colour-coding conventions for reclaimed (non-potable) water systems, making this pipe suitable for dual-purpose installations where purple identification is mandated. Canpex UV Plus meets CSA B137.5 and NSF 61 requirements. The pipe coils readily for trench work and resists chlorine degradation from municipal water treatment, extending service life in treated-water systems.
