Overview The Kichler 16172 is a contemporary surface-mount LED step light with a clean rectangular faceplate that washes light downward across stair treads, deck stairs and walkways. The integrated LED delivers 17 lumens at 2700K warm white with even light dispersion, providing wayfinding and safety lighting on steps, retaining walls and landings. It pairs with the louvered 16171 model when a project calls for a mix of styles at the same low profile. At 0.75" deep, the fixture surface mounts directly to risers or walls with no junction box, simplifying retrofit and new-construction installs. It is wet rated for outdoor use and operates on a standard 12V landscape transformer across a 9–15V range. The integrated LED eliminates lamp replacement, and the fixture can share home runs with path and accent lights on the same transformer. Finish options include Centennial Brass, Textured Architectural Bronze and Textured Black.
