Wireless rain and freeze sensor for irrigation controllers
A wireless sensor that stops irrigation during and after enough rainfall, saving water and ending watering in the rain. It also holds off watering when the temperature drops below a preset point, which helps limit vegetation damage and icing.
Setup
- Transmission up to 300 ft (91 m) line-of-sight on 418 MHz
- Transmitter runs on two CR2032 3V cells, about 5 years typical
- Receiver needs 22-28 V ac/V dc at 100 mA from a Class 2 UL-approved transformer
