Overview King Innovation DBR-Y is a Y-shaped gel-filled direct-burial connector designed to split a single irrigation valve wire run into two branches without a junction box. The Y configuration allows a single wire run from the controller to feed two separate valves or splice points, reducing wire cost and installation time on systems where two valves are located close together but some distance from the controller. The pre-filled dielectric gel encapsulates all three conductor entries simultaneously as the cap is compressed, creating a single watertight joint around the branch point. UL Listed for direct-burial; no tape or conduit required at the splice. The DBR-Y accepts 18–12 AWG conductors across all three ports, compatible with standard 18-gauge multi-conductor irrigation valve cable and single-strand 14-gauge field wire. After splicing, the connector can be buried directly in soil. Particularly useful on retrofit projects where extending an existing wire run to a second valve is more practical than pulling a new cable from the controller. Colour-coded yellow for quick identification in valve boxes during service.
