4 in S4 borehole pump end for clean water lift and boosting
The pump end of DAB's S4 60Hz line, sold without a motor. It is a 4 in multi-impeller borehole pump for clean water, used to lift from wells, boost pressure for gardens, and feed irrigation systems including agricultural ones. Wells need to be at least 4 in across, or use a tank or cistern.

Motor and control
Couples to 4 in motors: 4GG, 4TW and 4GX, all CSA approved. Single phase 4GG and 4GX motors have to run with a 4CBUS control box, sold separately. 4TW motors start without one, using 2 wire technology with an internal capacitor and thermal protector. On three phase motors the user provides protection.
Installation
Fixed and vertical is the normal install; horizontal works too, and the maker recommends a cooling sleeve. Max 20 starts per hour, IP68 protection, motor insulation class F, and the water may carry up to 0.009 lb/ft³ (150 g/m³) of sand.

- Pump can be coupled with 4 in motors: 4GG, 4TW and 4GX.
- 4GG and 4GX single phase motors must be installed with a control box (4CBUS line, sold separately). On three phase versions the protection must be provided by the user.
- 4TW motors operate without a starting control box, using 2 wire technology with internal capacitor and thermal protector.
