Foam-B-Gone breaks down protein foam within seconds. Foam usually signals too many proteins in the water, so it is worth clearing quickly. Shake the jug well, then apply it across the foaming area.

Dosing

• 1 fl oz per 1,000 US gallons, as needed; shake well first
• Persistent foaming: apply again as needed
• One gallon treats up to 128,000 US gallons (about 485,000 L)
• Safe for all aquatic life; shelf life is 3 years

Fixing the cause

Heavy foaming points to a heavy organic load. Pair it with a strong bacteria and enzyme product such as ClarityMax to remove the organics behind it. Protein foam can be harmful to the pond, so it should be cleared quickly rather than left to build.
