Cold-water bacteria packets for spring and fall pond care
Spring & Fall Prep contains cold-water bacteria with barley that keeps breaking down leaves, twigs and muck when other bacteria go dormant, and rebuilds winter losses in spring.
Dosing
- Use weekly while water is between 35°F and 60°F
- 1 packet per 1,000 US gallons; 2 for up to 2,000, 3 for up to 3,000, 4 for up to 5,000
- Do not open the packets; drop them into the pond or filter
- Treats 2,000 US gallons for up to 6 weeks in this size
Optimal conditions are pH 6.5-8.5 and 5 ppm dissolved oxygen. If a problem appears between doses, repeat every 3 days until it clears.
