Carlisle SynTec Lap Sealant HS, 11 oz — butyl-based edge sealant for terminating and weatherproofing EPDM liner seam and cover tape edges.
Overview Carlisle Lap Sealant HS is applied along the exposed edges of EPDM cover tape and seam tape to seal the tape edge against water infiltration and peeling. Without edge sealant, moisture can wick under the tape edge and compromise the bond, particularly in applications with cyclic wet/dry exposure. The 11 oz caulk-gun cartridge allows precise application along tape edges with minimal waste. Lap Sealant HS is compatible with all Carlisle SynTec EPDM seaming accessories and is specified by Carlisle for use on warranted field seams. Tooling with a wet finger or spatula produces a clean, weathered appearance.
