Solar-powered floating pond fountain with 4 panels and 300 ft cord
A direct-drive fountain for ponds with no electrical service. Four American-made panels on two preassembled EasyMount frames run the motor for up to 12 hours a day, with no operating cost once it is installed.
Sizing
- Best suited to ponds up to 1/2 acre; it aerates water 6-8 ft (1.8-2.4 m) deep
- Needs at least 36 in (91 cm) of water; float diameter is 34 in (86 cm)
- Spray reaches 14 ft in full sun, and pattern size rises and falls with the light
Installation
- Two mounting poles are needed and are not included: 2.5 in (6 cm) Schedule 40 galvanized steel, 10 ft (3.0 m) minimum
- The direct-drive controller varies motor speed with sunlight, and an external shut-off switch adds safety
- Nozzles change without tools, and the motor lead has an underwater quick disconnect
Cord
300 ft (91.4 m) of power cord with stainless-steel strain relief. This part has stainless-steel braiding over the cord, the heavier option against chewing wildlife.
